Worship

St Margarets_0005

St Margaret’s conducts a worship service every Sunday, generally at 10.30 am. On some occasions (such as for a Creation Service in Spring), a joint service is held with Holy Cross Anglican Church, generally at the earlier time of 9.30 am.

The worship service on the first Sunday of each month usually includes the sacrament of Holy Communion.

As we have a part-time Minister of the Word, the services on the first and third Sundays of each month are normally conducted by him, whilst the services on 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays usually involve guest preachers, including our two lay preachers – John Goss and Simon Clarke – and clergy from Holy Cross Anglican church.

St Margaret’s also conducts worship services on Good Friday and Christmas Day. The arrangements for these vary from year to year. Sometimes they are joint services with Holy Cross Anglican Church; sometimes they are separate. The times are dependent on the arrangements.
